A few years later we have bought another dumpstore train set and we tried to find a design for tracks that lets two children play with two electric trains.
This design is very simple while it still allows for a lot of interaction. The trains can not run unattended since they have to pass a crossing. The blue tracks in the midle lower part of the picture are electrically isolated and allow for exchange of wagons.
The bridge was built with parts of Lego-castles.
